Gas assist molding is an injection molding process that utilizes nitrogen gas to complete the mold-filling process while coring out predetermined areas of the part.  This process allows added design flexibility to meet required aesthetic or functional needs of the product.  Additionally, gas-assist molding will typically decrease press tonnage requirements while lowering stress in the molded product.  ECP uses GAIN technology and has in-house capability to generate nitrogen for gas-assist applications.
