Plastic Part Finishing requires special handling and preparation of the substrates prior to the painting process to assure the highest quality of parts and reduce defects due to surface contamination. This can range from a manual cleanse and de-ionization of parts to more sophisticated multistage processes depending upon the product requirements. ECP has designed and implemented a multistage wash process to include a Polyprep Cleanse, three Low Pressure Rinse stations, De-Ionized Water w/ Rinse Aid and finally a Halo Rinse Station to meet many of our customers demands. Each step of the process is carefully monitored for process variables including chemistry of the Sulfuric Acid, Caustic Soda and Neutralizers used down to conductivity of the physical parts. Following the 5-Stage wash process, parts travel through an initial pre-finishing oven before moving through our robotic paint line, flash off tunnels and cure oven.
